PMLD Teaching Assistant – One-Form Entry Primary School (Hillingdon) Salary: From £93.48 per day upwards An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced, full-time teaching assistant to join the team at a unique special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) primary school in the Hillingdon area. This school, serving boys and girls aged 3 to 11, is committed to ensuring all pupils, regardless of background or needs, have the opportunity to make progress in a supportive and engaging environment. About the Role: You will be supporting a non-verbal student with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) on a one-to-one basis. Your role is crucial in ensuring the student’s well-being, safety, and engagement in their learning process. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.30 am – 4 pm, with a starting salary from £93.48 per day. Key Responsibilities: -Provide 1:1 support and supervision to a PMLD student, assisting with daily activities, communication, personal care, and engagement in lessons. -Collaborate with teachers and medical professionals to implement care plans tailored to the student’s needs, ensuring their comfort and well-being. -Adapt to the changing needs of the student, adjusting activities to meet their personal requirements. -Create a supportive, inclusive learning environment that encourages the student to participate to the best of their abilities. -Manual handling experience is desirable but not essential; however, it may be required at times.
