Job Title: Primary Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
Axcis is currently supporting a wonderful school in Handsworth, Birmingham that specifically provides care and support for students ages 3-11 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. They’re currently looking for a caring and hardworking individual to support their amazing students on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis as a SEND Teaching Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
• Working 1:1 or 2:1 with students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities
• Attend to a pupil’s specific needs and follow all care plans in place.
• Providing support to students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully engage and participate in activities.
• Supporting students with various ranges of special educational needs that may include supporting nonverbal students, students with limited speech and challenging behavior. This role may also include supporting individuals with personal care.
The opportunity:
• To become a SEND Teaching Assistant
• £84 - £100 per day, please be aware that pay rates will depend on skills and experience
• Term Time Only
• Based in Handsworth, Birmingham
• Starting ASAP until the end of the academic year - Monday-Friday 08:15am-4:00pm
