Progress Leader Location: Knowsley, Merseyside Employment Type: Full-Time Start Date: September 2024 Company: Axcis Education Hourly rates between: £15-£19 Role Overview Axcis Education is actively seeking a dedicated and dynamic Progress Leader to join a mainstream high school in Knowsley. This full-time role involves supporting Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students, particularly those with ADHD, challenging behaviours, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Key Responsibilities The Progress Leader will implement effective classroom and behaviour management strategies to foster a conducive learning environment. Collaboration with both internal and external safeguarding teams is crucial to ensure the safety and well-being of all students. The role also involves utilizing subject expertise to enhance the learning experience, engaging professionally with safeguarding teams, parents, and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and providing tailored support to students with SEMH needs. Administrative duties include managing a year group of approximately 200 students and liaising with SLT for parental meetings. School Environment The school proudly holds a 'Good' rating from Ofsted, reflecting its commitment to providing quality education. The Senior Leadership Team is supportive and focuses on continuous professional development (CPD), offering ongoing CPD opportunities to help staff grow and excel in their roles. Requirements The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role within the education sector. A valid driving license is advantageous.
