We are seeking a motivated and experienced Science Tutor/Teacher to join our team in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) setting. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to support and inspire students who face barriers to learning, helping them re-engage with education and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and accessible Science lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Support students who may have emotional, social, or behavioural challenges, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Use creative approaches to make Science engaging and relevant, fostering a love for learning.
- Track and assess students’ progress, providing feedback and interventions to support their development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and external agencies to address the holistic needs of students.
What We’re Looking For:
- QTS or experience as a Science Tutor with a strong subject knowledge base.
- Experience working with students in a PRU, SEN, or alternative provision setting (preferred but not essential).
- A passion for working with young people facing barriers to education.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students with varied learning needs.
