Job Title: Seizure Experience SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Barnet
Salary: £85 upwards DOE per day (PAYE)

A modern and inclusive secondary school in Barnet is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience in managing and responding to seizures. Key Responsibilities:
-Student Support: Provide tailored one-to-one assistance to students who experience seizures, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
-Emergency Response: Recognise the early signs of seizures and respond swiftly and appropriately to minimise risks and ensure safety.
-Safety Management: Maintain a safe and hazard-free classroom environment by identifying and mitigating potential seizure triggers, such as flashing lights or sharp objects.
-Relationship Building: Establish strong, positive relationships with students, families, and staff to foster an inclusive and supportive school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
-Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, ideally within a secondary school setting.
-Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
-In-depth knowledge of epilepsy management and seizure first aid protocols.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
-A caring and empathetic approach, along with patience and a genuine passion for working with students who have additional needs.
