SEN Teacher – Autism Resourced Provision (ARP)
Location: Ealing, Southall, Mainstream Primary School with ARP
Working Hours: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Long-term, with potential for permanent
Start Date: Immediate
About the Role:
Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a mainstream primary school’s Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) in Ealing. This role involves working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special educational needs. You will be part of a supportive team, delivering tailored education and support to help students succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
-Deliver Specialised Lessons: Plan and teach lessons tailored to the individual needs of students within the ARP.
-Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and monitor IEPs, adjusting them as needed to ensure progress.
-Supportive Learning Environment: Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere that fosters learning and positive interaction.
-Collaboration: Work closely with mainstream teachers, ARP staff, parents, and external professionals to provide cohesive support for each student.
-Behaviour Management: Implement proactive strategies to manage challenging behaviours and promote positive behaviour.
Requirements:
-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential for this role.
-Experience in SEN: Proven experience working with students with autism and other SEN.
-Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of autism and SEN teaching methods.
-DBS on the Update Service (required).
