Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary
Experienced Teaching Assistant Location: Camden Start Date: September 2024 Salary: £95 per day (experience dependent) Interviews and trials to be conducted this week. A vibrant mainstream primary school in Camden, dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students. Commitment is to provide exceptional support to children, ensuring each student reaches their full potential. Position: We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), complex needs, and challenging behaviour. This role is crucial in helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: - Provide tailored support to students with ASD, complex needs, and challenging behaviour. - Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons. - Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. - Monitor and report on student progress, adapting support strategies as needed. - Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative approach to learning. - Assist in managing classroom behaviour and implementing behaviour management plans. Requirements: - Experience working in UK schools. - Proven experience supporting children with ASD, complex needs, and challenging behaviour. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. - Patience, empathy, and a commitment to inclusive education.
