Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary
A mainstream secondary school in Harrow is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time position requires a candidate with a proven background in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour. Key Responsibilities: - Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour. - Assist teachers in creating and implementing individualized support plans. - Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. - Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each student. - Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour to inform future support strategies. Requirements: - Experience supporting students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour. - Previous experience working in schools, as a youth worker, or in a similar position. - Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
