The Role As a SEND teacher in Islington, you will: -Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with a range of SEND, including but not limited to ASD, earning difficulties, and physical disabilities. -Assess students’ progress and use data to inform and adjust teaching strategies. -Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, and external agencies to provide holistic support. -Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement. -Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress and well-being. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience working with children with SEND. Strong understanding of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to the needs of a dynamic school environment. Commitment to continuous professional development.
