Job Title: SEND Teacher
Axcis are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a highly regarded SEND primary school in Ealing's supportive and dynamic team. The fulltime role involves working with children aged 4-11 years who have Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), sensory needs, and who are non-verbal. If you are passionate about inclusive education and have the skills to cater to these needs, we would love to hear from you. The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in teaching SEND students, particularly those with Autism and MLD. Knowledge of communication tools such as Makaton and PECS is essential, as many of the students are non-verbal and rely on these methods to communicate. You will need to design and deliver engaging, tailored lessons that are aligned with each student’s Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP), and work closely with support staff and parents to foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The SEND primary school offers a highly supportive environment with a small class size of approximately 9 students per class, allowing for personalized and focused teaching. The daily rate is competitive, ranging from £175 to £200 depending on experience. An enhanced DBS on the update service is required for this role, and the school is seeking someone for maternity cover.
