Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Start Date: September 2nd Location: Islington Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30-3:30 Salary: 93.48 P/D Upwards A wonderful SEND School in Islington is looking for a kind, caring and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work with a number of students within its secondary department. This role is vital in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they have the support they need to excel academically. Main Responsibilities: • Assist with classroom activities and encourage inclusion • Provide one-on-one and group support to students • Create a calm, nurturing and inclusive environment • Provide personal care where needed • Use a range of various communication techniques • Employ de-escalation techniques if needed This vibrant and inclusive school is seeking someone with experience working with children with special educational needs who is passionate about making a positive impact on students lives. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. A relevant qualification in special educational needs or teaching assistance is desirable but not required.
