Job Vacancy: Teaching Assistant (SEN/SEMH Focus) Location: Bristol, BS31 Salary: £12 - £15.82 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications) Contract Type: Full-time Our Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive learning environment dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child. As we continue to grow and develop our programs, we are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our teachers and enhancing the learning experience for our students. You will work closely with children in the classroom, providing both academic assistance and emotional support, particularly for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Key Responsibilities: • Support individual students and small groups, adapting activities to meet diverse learning needs. • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting student well-being and engagement. • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teacher. • Collaborate with other staff members and specialists to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEND. • Help maintain a safe and organised learning environment. • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills. Qualifications and Skills: • Experience working with children, whether through working experience or personal. • Understanding of SEND and strategies for supporting diverse learners. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • A positive, resilient attitude and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
