Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistants
Axcis Education are working with specialist secondary school based in Wakefield, the school are looking for an experience SEND Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis. The school caters for a diverse group of learners aged 11-19 severe, complex, or profound multiple learning difficulties, autism and behaviours that challenge. The school offers a diverse curriculum to meet the needs of each pupils unique requirements. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with pupils with special educational needs and hold an up to date manual handling certificate. Responsibilities: Work closely with teachers and other professionals to create and implement effective strategies that cater to the diverse learning needs of students. Provide individualised support to students with SEND on a small group or 1:1 basis, addressing barriers to learning Implement behaviour management strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment by promoting social interactions and peer relationships among students SEND Requirements: Experience working with individuals with SEND, preferably in an educational setting. Up to date Manual Handling and Team Teach training is highly desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to the diverse needs of learners.
