About the Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic Year Six Teaching Assistant to join a thriving mainstream primary school in Barnet. This full-time position is ideal for an individual passionate about supporting the educational development of children, who has experience in both Maths and English. Key Responsibilities: • Assisting the Year Six teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons. • Providing one-on-one and small group support to pupils, particularly in Maths and English. • Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. • Supporting pupils with their learning and encouraging their academic and personal development. • Preparing classroom resources and assisting with administrative tasks. • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils. Requirements: • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within Key Stage 2. • Strong knowledge and proficiency in Maths and English. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • A patient, caring, and positive attitude. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team. • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Desirable: • Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare. • Experience working within a mainstream school setting.
