Job Title: Sociology Graduate – SEND Support Mentor
Location: Manchester LEA Salary: £100+ per day Job Type: Full-time | Term-time only Are you a Sociology graduate looking to make a meaningful impact in education? Join our team and help support learners with additional needs in both primary and secondary schools. This is an ideal role for those passionate about social issues, inclusion, and creating positive change in young people's lives. Ideal for: Sociology graduates seeking hands-on experience in education and SEND support. Candidates with a strong interest in social development, inclusion, and working with students facing barriers to learning. Experience with primary or secondary age students (advantageous but not essential). What You’ll Do: Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support for learners with a range of additional needs. Collaborate with teachers to develop strategies that promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. Help students overcome social, emotional, and learning challenges to achieve their full potential. Create a supportive, inclusive environment where students feel empowered to succeed. Requirements: A degree in Sociology or a related field. A passion for supporting students with SEND and additional needs. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (required).
