Job Title: Special needs support worker
Special needs support worker Axcis Education are looking for support workers with special needs experience to work with children/families over the summer holidays. This work is typically part time and would suit anyone that has school experience but needs work to keep busy over July and August. Cases will vary on need and locations can range in Bath to the outer areas of the county, with some families living in remote areas that are not always accessible via public transport. So ideally we are looking for those that have access to a car. In most cases, the work will involve supporting children with special needs, and most of the time this is to give parents a break and opportunity to do some life admin that they otherwise would not have the time to do. Work can either be supporting in the family home, or in some circumstances taking the child out and partaking in activities that they enjoy. Some cases can be more complex than others, so experience in special needs is vital and this can be from a care background if so. Hours are on a case by case basis, some may be in the morning or afternoons whilst others could be evenings or even weekends. The right applicants will have lots of empathy, will be able to navigate what come sometimes be sensitive family situations and be able to provide support and stability to both the parents and the children. Due to how soon the work would be required, a DBS on the update service is needed.

If you are interested, then please contact James Mochan on 0117 472 2400 and click on the apply button.

If you are not interested in this role but know someone else who might be, don't forget that we offer £150 in shopping vouchers if you refer a friend to us and we place them in the job. For more details, contact your local Axcis office.

This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer and as such we do not discriminate based on age, gender, disability, race or any other equal opportunities criteria.

The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

As such, you will be required to provide an up to date DBS, or be prepared to allow Axcis to process one on your behalf, in addition to other mandatory compliance checks in line with the DfE guidelines (for details please see our website).

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.

You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role.

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.

View the disclaimer

Contact: James Mochan

Telephone: 0117 472 2400
