Special needs teachers required for special needs school Axcis Education are currently recruiting for a teacher to take on a full time post on a temp to perm basis starting in September. This is for a special needs school in the heart of Wiltshire. The school are looking forward to opening the new build in September so as a result will be expanding students numbers and catering to even more vulnerable students. Marking and planning is required and the school have not yet decided which particular class this post will cover. But the school mostly cater to the ages of 10-16. The school is part of one of the largest SEN providers in the UK and are often oversubscribed. They cater to a wide range of needs both cognitive and physical and the site has some wonderful facilities and grounds available to students including farm animals, outdoor gardening among some others. Due to the schools somewhat remote location a car driver would be ideal since buses to the school are not very frequent. The ideal teacher will be from either a primary or secondary background if NOT SEN, but experience in teaching SEN students is required. Confident in a curriculum in a variety of subjects and is able to differentiate to a wide range of learning abilities. Effective and compassionate classroom management is needed along with an understanding of how to keep neuro-divergent students engaged in their learning. Salary will be dependent on experience and scale rate.
