Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education are thrilled to be working with a school based in South Gloucestershire who are looking to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant. This role will be working with children aged 7 to 19 years old who have a diagnosis of autism, communication difficulties and Social, Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The ideal candidate would be sporty, proactive and eager to get stuck into the school life. Working hours for this role are between 8.30 to 4.30pm and the hourly rate of pay is £14.66. This role will be a long term contract for the right candidate, ideally until the end of the academic year. The school aim to help the students to develop their self-confidence, life skills and independence as well as working on their academic ability. The school teaches to stage rather than age allowing the students to work alongside others with similar ability levels. Due to the location of the school, driving is essential for this role. Requirements for this role include a passion for supporting students with SEND, strong communication and written English skills, Right to Work in UK and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
