Axcis Education is looking for dedicated individuals with a background in sports coaching to join our team as Teaching Assistants in local primary schools across the Stockport area. The Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll have the unique opportunity to blend your coaching expertise with classroom support. Working alongside teachers, you’ll: - Provide 1:1 or small group support in core subjects such as English and Maths. - Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive attitudes toward learning. - Support students with additional needs, including SEND, ensuring inclusivity and engagement. - Act as a positive role model, using your sports background to promote teamwork, discipline, and resilience. About You We are looking for candidates who: - Have experience in sports coaching or a similar role. - Are passionate about working with male students who have high levels of challenging behaviours and respond better to a male figure. - Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ideally, have experience working in schools or with young people in an educational setting. - Hold relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent coaching certificates (desirable but not essential).
