Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: WF5 Salary: Starting at £95 per day Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in the WF5 area. The successful candidate will support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential in an inclusive and supportive educational environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support the development of learning materials. Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to monitor and report on student progress. Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to engage and succeed. Assist with classroom management and organization to create a safe and effective learning space. Support students with physical, emotional, and behavioral needs, using appropriate strategies and interventions. Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable. Knowledge of various SEN conditions and effective strategies to support learning and development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal growth of students with SEN. Team Teach training is preferred but not essential; however, a willingness to undergo relevant training is required. Benefits: Competitive starting pay of £95 per day.
