Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on student's lives? Do you have experience or a keen interest in supporting students with SEMH needs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Waltham Forest. You will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and emotional development of students with SEMH challenges. This is a full-time, long-term position ideal for someone who has a SEND background as a teaching assistant, care worker or youth worker. Key Responsibilities: • Work closely with teaching staff to support the learning and emotional well-being of students with SEMH needs. • Assist with the planning and delivery of tailored educational activities that cater to diverse learning needs. • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and caregivers as required. Requirements: • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, preferably within an educational setting. • Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues alike. •A DBS on the update service.
