Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Join Our Team as an Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Early Years Foundation Stage, Mainstream Primary School, Warrington
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and caring Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and friendly team in The Wirral. This is an amazing chance to play a vital role in shaping the early education of young children, supporting them through their exciting first steps in school.

Your Role
• Engage and Inspire: Work alongside the teacher to deliver fun, hands-on learning activities that spark curiosity and imagination in young children.
• Support Growth: Provide gentle, one-to-one or small-group support to help children build key early skills like communication, social interaction, and problem-solving.
• Personal Care: Offer encouragement and assistance to children with their personal care needs in a respectful and caring way.
• Create a Nurturing Space: Help foster a safe, welcoming environment where children feel happy and confident to explore and learn through play.
• Celebrate Progress: Observe and share children’s achievements with teachers and families, helping to plan next steps in their development.
• Organize and Prepare: Set up, manage, and tidy away engaging activities to keep the classroom exciting and ready for each new day.

What We’re Looking For
• Experience: Previous experience in a nursery, childcare, or school setting is a big plus!
• Knowledge: A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Skills: Patience, creativity, and a love for turning everyday moments into learning opportunities.
• Teamwork: Strong communication skills and a willingness to work closely with colleagues, children, and families.
• Dedication: A commitment to safeguarding and supporting children’s well-being and development.
