**Job Title:** Teaching Assistant **Location:** Littleborough, Lancashire **Salary:** £90 - £95 per day (PAYE) **Working Hours:** Full Time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm **Contract Type:** Long Term Positions --- **Description:** We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistants to join our team of educational professionals in Rochdale-based schools. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who have a passion for supporting young people's learning and personal developments, particularly those with special educational needs. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide classroom assistance to the lead teacher, helping to deliver educational activities and promote an engaging learning environment. - Support individual students or small groups, including those with special needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively. - Apply special focus on students with Autism and other mental health needs, tailoring support to meet their individual requirements. - Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs. - Engage with early years and/or Key Stage 1 (EYFS/KS1) pupils, providing age-appropriate educational support. - Perform personal care duties for students as needed, with sensitivity and respect for their dignity. - Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians. - Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students. - Assist in managing classroom resources and preparing materials. **Qualifications:** - Must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent). - A minimum of 12 months of experience working with young people in an educational setting. - Demonstrated experience in supporting children with special needs, preferably with a focus on Autism and Mental Health. - Must have experience in early years foundation stage (EYFS) and/or Key Stage 1 (KS1). - Candidate must be willing and able to perform personal care tasks. **Additional Requirements:** - Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the Update Service is mandatory. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as the initiative to work independently. - Committed to ongoing professional development and learning. - Flexible and adaptable approach to dealing with different classroom settings and student needs. - A positive attitude and strategy for behavior management.
