Job Title: Youth Work experience Teaching Assistant
About the Role: We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Youth Work Experience Teaching Assistant to support secondary students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs in Islington. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a supportive and inclusive school environment. You will be working alongside the teacher to support vulnerable students. Key Responsibilities: • Assist teachers in delivering lessons. • Support students with SEMH needs, both one-on-one and in groups. • Help create a safe and nurturing classroom environment. • Encourage the development of social skills and coping strategies. • Work with teachers, support staff, and parents to meet students' needs. Requirements: • A genuine interest in supporting young people. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships. • Experience with secondary school students and SEMH needs is a plus.
