Job Title: 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant - KS2
Are you passionate about making a difference in a young person’s life? Axcis are looking for a dedicated and proactive 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and friendly school in Timperley. Position: 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant Location: mainstream primary school in Timperley Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:30 am - 3:30 pm Contract: Term-time only, long term Start: After October half term You will be working closely with a Year 5 pupil who has Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and displays challenging behaviour. This role is for a 1:1 support assistant who can build rapport with child quickly, foster a trusting relationship, and work consistently to maintain the child’s engagement and focus. You’ll be a key part of their daily learning experience, helping to shape positive outcomes and encouraging social and emotional development. We are looking for someone who: - Is experienced in working with children with SEMH needs or challenging behaviours. - Has a proactive, positive approach to overcoming learning and behavioural challenges. - Can create an engaging, supportive environment that keeps the pupil motivated and ready to learn.
