As a teaching assistant, you will be working closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of children in a primary school setting. You will assist with classroom management, provide targeted support to individual students, and help create a positive learning atmosphere. Key Responsibilities:
• Support the teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities
• Provide one-on-one or small group support for students who require additional help
• Assist with the planning and preparation of teaching materials
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Help with the general welfare and wellbeing of students
• Maintain effective communication with staff and parents regarding student progress
• Contribute to the assessment of student development and learning
Key Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting is desirable
• A passion for working with young learners and supporting their academic and emotional growth
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• A proactive and flexible attitude to meet the needs of students
• An enhanced DBS check will be required (we can assist with this process)
