Job Title: Autism Experience Teaching Assistant

Axcis Education is working with a fantastic mainstream primary school in Haringey that has a specialist provision for students with autism and additional needs. They are looking for a confident and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team and provide tailored support to students within the provision.
About the Role:
Supporting autistic students and those with additional needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Encouraging social skills development and fostering positive peer interactions
Assisting with classroom activities, sensory breaks, and structured play
Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external specialists (e.g., speech and language therapists, occupational therapists) to provide a consistent and structured learning experience
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with autistic children or students with additional needs (essential)
A positive and proactive attitude, with a passion for supporting children’s development
Strong communication skills to build relationships with students, staff, and parents
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEND (desirable but not essential)
