Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our special needs school in Harrow, supporting students learning at a Key Stage 1 level. This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM) with an immediate start. Key Responsibilities: - Support the delivery of lessons tailored to students working at a KS1 level. - Provide structured support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Global Developmental Delay, Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and challenging behaviour. - Lead small group sessions and provide one-to-one interventions as needed. - Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies. - Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. Requirements: - Previous experience as an HLTA or experienced SEN TA ready to step up. - Experience supporting students with ASD, Global Delay, SEMH, and challenging behaviour. - Strong behaviour management skills and a proactive, nurturing approach. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a SEN setting.
