Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience
Description:
A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic primary school in Southall. The school prides itself on creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, and they are seeking an HLTA who can contribute to the continued development of its students.
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting the teaching staff by delivering lessons, leading small groups, and providing 1:1 support where necessary. This role requires a committed individual who has strong experience working in primary schools and can take on a leadership role within the classroom when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist class teachers in planning and delivering lessons, as well as taking responsibility for covering lessons in their absence.
-Lead small group sessions and provide 1:1 support to pupils with diverse learning needs.
-Support students in developing their literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
-Prepare and organize classroom resources to enhance learning.
-Provide constructive feedback on pupil progress to teachers and parents.
-Implement strategies to support children with special educational needs (SEN) in line with their EHCPs.
-Help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
-HLTA qualification or equivalent.
-Experience working in a primary school setting.
-Strong understanding of primary curriculum requirements.
-Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable.
-Enhanced DBS on the update service (essential).
-Excellent communication and organizational skills.
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
