Job Title: Learning Support Worker
Axcis are working with a college called in central Gloucester who are looking for a learning support worker to work full time working 37 hours per week which are Monday to Thursday 8.30-5.00 and Friday 8.30-4.30 starting asap.
This role will be supporting at the specialist SEND department which is situated just by the Gloucester docks and this role is to provide a mixture of 1-1 and general class support where necessary.
The students in this department have a mix of needs but experience with social, emotional mental health needs, Autism and more complex learning needs would be desirable as these are the prominent needs of the learners.
You will be supporting the students in Maths, English and IT mainly and subject knowledge isn't necessary, but instead the right person - someone who is caring, compassionate, reliable and hardworking-is necessary.
The pay is £16.50 per hour and you will be paid weekly, a week in arrears every Friday and the role is to continue on a full time long term basis until the end of the academic year.
The college are keen to appoint the right support asap which would initially be a teams call / interview with the college and should that go well, be a paid trial week followed by ongoing should you be successful.
