Level 2 1:1 Teaching Assistant Axcis Education are currently looking for a teaching assistant to work across a Primary school in a mainstream school. This is an ongoing full time position with the potential to be made permanent. You will be supporting 5-11 year olds in their learning and assisting in behavioural support within the classroom. Experience of working with EAL children would be an advantage as would being able to speak any additional languages. This large mainstream school located not far from the centre of Leicester, this has given the school a financial boost paving the way for a state of all facilities. Parking at the school is limited; the school has an car park which can be accessed only by visiting the office first. Alternatively road side parking is available but again limited so arriving early is imperative. The school is also close to public transport routes. For this role you will have at least 6 weeks experience of working with Primary schools. You also must have experience of dealing with challenging behaviour with children or/and young adults. Knowledge of SEND and SEMH would also be advantageous but not essential.
