Job Title: SEND Teachers, All-Age ASD Specific SEND School
Axcis is working with a fantastic special school specialising in supporting children with Complex Autism, the school caters to children aged 4 to 16 years, tailoring their provision to each individual’s needs. The school requires qualified teachers for the following:
- Day to day absence cover to cover (primary and secondary)
- Permanent contract, 1x Primary Teacher and 1x Secondary Teacher
The school is looking for teachers who have previous SEND experience, preferably as a teacher within a SEND school or resource hub. the schools curriculum covers mainly the EYFS and Primary curriculum and so developmental and primary curriculum knowledge is essential.
This Autism specific school is based within the Walsall area, they are looking for teachers who will foster their values of "team work, equality, happiness, confidence and kindness".
Job details:
• Class Teacher in an ASD-specific SEND school
• Working independently and as part of a team
• Full time hours (8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday)
• Start date: September 2025, availability to provide day to day cover starting ASAP would be preferable.
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
• Experience of working with pupils with Complex Autism – Essential
• Experience of working with individuals whom display challenging behaviour – Preferable
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required or we’re happy to carry out a new one ahead of you starting the position – Essential
