Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We’re working closely with a secondary-level special needs school in Bournemouth that is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team.
If you have a nurturing approach, a strong sense of empathy, and a desire to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), we want to hear from you!
Position Details:
Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Bournemouth
Type: Term-Time, Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: £85-£90 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Your Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to students, helping them engage with learning in a way that suits their individual needs.
Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe and encouraged.
Support teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and strategies for students with SEMH and ADHD.
Foster students' confidence, social skills, and emotional well-being through patience and understanding.
Help with classroom management, ensuring students remain engaged and supported throughout the school day.

Experience in working with SEND students is advantageous but not essential—full training will be provided.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships with students and staff.
