Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Hayes Salary: £83.40 – £90 per day (PAYE), based on experience Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM – 4:00 PM Teaching Assistant & Support Worker Are you passionate about supporting students with moderate to severe needs? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant & Support Worker to provide essential support to students with ASD, PMLD, learning disabilities, and speech and language needs. In this role, you will assist students across both Primary and Secondary sites, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Your responsibilities will include personal care, manual handling, and behaviour support, playing a key part in the students’ overall well-being and development. Key Responsibilities: - Provide 1:1 and group support for students with learning and physical disabilities. - Assist with personal care, including manual handling. - Support students in managing challenging behaviours and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere. - Collaborate with teaching staff to meet students' educational and care needs. - Ensure students' physical and emotional well-being throughout the school day. Requirements: - A valid Child and Adult DBS check on the Update Service. - Ideally, experience and training in Manual Handling. - A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to supporting students. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work independently and adapt to varying schedules.
