Job Title: SEND Youth Worker

Youth work equips you with valuable, transferable skills that are ideal for a career as a Teaching Assistant in our specialist horticulture college in Haringey. This role is a fantastic opportunity to support students as they develop practical skills, gain confidence, and prepare for careers in the horticulture industry. As a Teaching Assistant, you will: Support Hands-On Learning – Assist teachers in delivering engaging, practical horticulture lessons in classrooms, greenhouses, and outdoor settings. Help Students Grow – Provide tailored academic and practical support, helping learners develop essential skills in plant care, landscaping, and environmental sustainability. Provide One-to-One Support – Work closely with students, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), to ensure they receive the guidance and encouragement needed to succeed. Foster a Supportive Environment – Engage with students to nurture their confidence, teamwork, and passion for horticulture. What We’re Looking For: Right to Work in the UK – You must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom. Enhanced DBS Check – You either have an enhanced DBS check or are willing to apply for one. Passion for Education & Horticulture – A genuine enthusiasm for working in education, combined with an interest in horticulture, sustainability, or the environment. Strong Communication Skills – You should possess excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills to interact effectively with students and staff. Why Join Us?
