Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant - ASD
Special Needs Teaching Assistant – Wandsworth
Salary: £83.40 – £90 per day (PAYE), depending on experience
Contract Type: Full-Time, 8:45 AM – 4:00 PM
Axcis Education is looking for compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join a specialist school in Wandsworth, supporting students with Autism. This incredibly rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people aged 5-16, helping them reach their full potential in a calm, sensory-friendly environment surrounded by beautiful gardens.
Your Role:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with Autism
- Assist with academic and personal development
- Support students with challenging behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies
- Assist with personal care needs (manual handling, peg feeding)
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to create a tailored learning experience
