Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant in Reading
An exceptional SEND school in Reading is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support children with diverse special educational needs, including ASD, PMLD, complex needs, and challenging behaviour. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners by providing tailored support and fostering a positive, inclusive environment. This full-time role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. You will work closely with students across various age groups, from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through Key Stages 1 to 4, offering one-on-one and small-group support. Your role will involve implementing effective strategies to manage and assist children with a wide range of SEND, ensuring they can access their education and achieve their potential. The pay starts at £83.40 per day (PAYE). To excel in this role, you must have prior experience supporting individuals with SEND, whether children or adults. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to build trust and maintain a positive rapport with students and staff. You will also need the ability to deliver tailored support that addresses individual needs, including providing personal care where required.
