Teaching Assistant for SEND Support
Location: Mainstream Primary School
Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:15 am - 3:45 pm
Start Date: Immediate
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in a mainstream primary school, supporting young children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and challenging behavior. This is a full-time position where you will play a vital role in helping our students engage with the curriculum and thrive in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Assisting classroom teachers in implementing individualized support strategies and adapting activities to meet the needs of each child.
Encouraging students’ social, emotional, and academic development, using patience and understanding to help them build essential skills.
Essential Requirements:
Experience working in a school setting or similar role supporting children or vulnerable adults with special needs.
A strong understanding of ASD, ADHD, and behavioral management strategies.
Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, with a commitment to the school’s working hours.
