Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Job Advertisement: Teaching Assistant (SEMH Support) – Full-Time, Long-Term

Pay Rate: £12-£15 per hour

Axcis are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a high school full-time. This role is specifically designed to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping these students navigate their educational journey, providing both academic and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavioural Support Plans (BSPs).
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support students in developing social skills and coping strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to monitor and review student progress.
• Assist with classroom management and organisation.
• Provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians on student progress and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEMH needs.
• A compassionate, patient, and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
