Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) – Secondary School SEND Support (SEMH)
• Location: Horwich
• Contract: Full-Time
• Salary: £83.40 - £95 per day (6.5 hours)

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the SEND department of a secondary school in Horwich. This full-time role involves working closely with students who require additional support to manage their emotions, develop confidence, and engage positively in learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide targeted support to students with SEMH needs, both in class and through tailored interventions
• Assist teachers in adapting lessons and strategies to support individual student needs
• Foster positive relationships with students, helping them develop confidence and resilience
• Support students in managing their emotions and behaviour in a school environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and SEND staff to implement support plans
• Encourage student engagement, participation, and personal development
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience working with young people, particularly those with SEMH or SEND needs (desirable but not essential)
• A calm, patient, and understanding approach to behaviour management
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and encourage their progress
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Psychology, or SEND-related) are an advantage
