**Job Title**: Team Teach Trained Primary Teaching Assistant **Location**: Sale, Manchester, Greater Manchester **Contract**: Full Time, Fixed Term (January to End of the Academic Year) **Start Date**: January Axcis Education are seeking a dedicated, proactive and confident Team Teach Trained Primary Teaching Assistant to join a friendly team at a mainstream primary school located in Sale, Manchester. You will be responsible for providing 1:1 support to a Year 6 boy, assisting with his educational development and ensuring his experience within the school is positive and productive. Responsibilities: - Deliver 1:1 assistance to a Year 6 pupil, focusing on both academic support and behavioural management. - Implement strategies from the Team Teach framework to promote a calm and effective learning environment. - Monitor the child's progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/carers. - Foster a secure and supportive relationship with the student, encouraging independence and self-confidence. - Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or Behaviour Plans. - Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of the student’s development and daily activities. - Comply with school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines. Requirements: - Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) would be desirable. - Team Teach training with a strong understanding of de-escalation techniques and behaviour management - must for this role. - Experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school environment in the UK, preferably with SEN experience. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work flexibly and adapt to individual student needs. - Enhanced DBS check (or willing to undergo checks). - A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and education.
