In this rewarding role, you will provide tailored support to students with a variety of communication needs, ensuring they thrive academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: Support students with communication difficulties, using Makaton to help facilitate understanding and expression. Work closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver individualised support plans. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered. Help with classroom management and assist in the implementation of special educational needs (SEN) strategies. Provide feedback on student progress and contribute to the development of learning resources. Key Requirements: Makaton training and proficiency (Level 1 and/or Level 2 is desirable). Experience in supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties, autism, or other special educational needs. A compassionate and patient approach with a strong commitment to inclusion and accessibility. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
