Job Title: Makaton Learning Support
Makaton-Trained Learning Support Practitioner Are you passionate about supporting individuals with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential? Do you have Makaton training and a desire to make a real difference in students' lives? We are looking for a dedicated Makaton-Trained Learning Support Practitioner to join our dynamic team. In this rewarding role, you will provide tailored support to students with a variety of communication needs, ensuring they thrive academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: Support students with communication difficulties, using Makaton to help facilitate understanding and expression. Work closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver individualised support plans. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered. Help with classroom management and assist in the implementation of special educational needs (SEN) strategies. Provide feedback on student progress and contribute to the development of learning resources. Key Requirements: Makaton training and proficiency (Level 1 and/or Level 2 is desirable). Experience in supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties, autism, or other special educational needs. A compassionate and patient approach with a strong commitment to inclusion and accessibility. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
