Job Title: Mathematics Teacher Location: Rochdale, Lancashire Contract Type: Full Time with Potential for Permanent Position in Summer Salary: From £190 per day We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our team in the vibrant town of Rochdale, Lancashire. The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be ready to take on a full-time role with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position by summer. ** Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to the national curriculum standards for Mathematics. - Conduct lessons that cater to a range of abilities, ensuring that all students are able to progress. - Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. - Manage classroom behavior to create a positive and conducive learning environment. - Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and whole-school training events. - Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students. - Use a variety of assessment tools and strategies to evaluate student progress. - Contribute to the development and evolution of the school's Mathematics curriculum. - Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress. ** Requirements:** - Must possess QTS and have at least 12 months of UK-based teaching experience. - Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) or those who have recently gained QTS as overseas qualified teachers are encouraged to apply. - Demonstrable experience in planning, delivering, and marking lessons. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - A commitment to professional development and staying current with educational best practices. - Ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues to create a collaborative learning community.
