Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
A vibrant SEND primary school in Waltham Forest is looking for a passionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team after the Easter break. This full-time role supports Early Years and KS1 pupils with ASD and other complex needs. Location: Waltham Forest, E10 Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM Start date: After Easter Key Responsibilities: Support pupils with SEND, particularly those with ASD and non-verbal communication needs Assist in lesson preparation, delivery, and assessment alongside the class teacher Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment Requirements: Proven experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASD Ability to provide 1:1 support in both academic and personal care contexts A positive, empathetic, and patient approach to working with children If you're passionate about making a real difference and have the skills to support children in their academic and personal development, we would love to hear from you!
