Job Title: Teaching Assistant Level 2
Days- Monday – Friday, 8:30- 15:30
Start Date: February 2025
Contract – Temporary, with potential to go permanent
Pay- £83 PAYE
We are looking for a dedicated teaching assistant to join our team at a secondary school in the Coventry area, catering to students with complex communication and interaction difficulties. The ideal candidate will have a NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification and proven experience working with children or individuals with special needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized support to students with complex communication and interaction difficulties
- Assist teaching staff in implementing strategies to enhance communication and social interaction skills
- Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to support student development
- Create and implement individualized communication plans for students
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
Qualifications:
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
- Proven experience working with children or individuals with special needs, particularly those with communication and interaction difficulties
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with complex needs
