Axcis is currently seeking several dedicated teaching assistants with experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to join our team. Role Overview: We are looking for resilient, strong-minded teaching assistants who can support students across both primary and secondary years. The ideal candidates will have a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work effectively one-on-one with students, providing both academic and social support. Key Responsibilities: • Mentor Students: Provide academic and social support, helping students to thrive in both areas. • 1:1 Support: Assist students with day-to-day tasks on a one-on-one basis, ensuring they receive the attention they need. • Classroom Support: Help teachers prepare lesson materials and set up/tidy classrooms at the beginning and end of the day. • Progress Tracking: Monitor student progress and report observations to the teacher on a weekly basis. What We’re Looking For: • Experience with SEND: Previous experience working with children is essential, especially in a SEND setting. • Resilience and Positivity: The ability to remain resilient and maintain a positive outlook is crucial. • Adaptability: Must be able to work effectively with students across both primary and secondary age groups.
