Job Title: Teacher Assistant (SEMH)
Axcis is currently recruiting for a SEND teaching assistant to join an award-winning SEND school in Hillingdon. The school caters to mixed age groups and classes, with around 12 pupils per class. Each child has an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school is known for its outstanding support and inclusive environment. The SEND School has around 84 pupils in total. We are seeking a candidate with experience in managing challenging behaviour and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The ideal candidate will have strong conflict management skills, ensuring a positive and safe learning environment. Experience working in a SEND setting is essential, and candidates must be able to demonstrate patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. It is essential that the ideal candidate is also very knowledgeable in safeguarding. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday from 08:45 to 15:45, offering competitive pay. A current Enhanced DBS on the update service is required.
