Job Title: Teacher - Primary SEN
A mainstream primary school in Brent is seeking a qualified teacher to join their team and work in their ASD additional unit with students in Years 1 and 2. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and inclusive environment. Position Details: Role: Qualified Teacher (ASD Unit) Location: Mainstream Primary School, Brent Start Date: Immediately Age Group: Years 1 and 2 (ASD additional unit) Contract: Full-time Key Responsibilities: - Teaching and supporting students in Years 1 and 2 within the ASD additional unit. - Developing and delivering tailored lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). - Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. - Monitoring and assessing students' progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary. Requirements: - Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). - Experience teaching within a primary or special needs setting is essential. - Strong understanding of supporting children with ASD and the ability to adapt lessons to suit their needs. - A positive, patient, and inclusive approach to teaching.
