Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Early Years
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are looking for an Experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a specialist school in Brent, working with young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Position Details:
- Role: Teaching Assistant (TA)
- Location: Special Needs School, Brent
- Start Date: Immediately
- Age Group: 4-5 year-olds with developmental needs similar to 1-year-olds
- Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday 8.30-3.30)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting children aged 4-5 years old with special educational needs, primarily those with ASD.
- Assisting students with day-to-day activities, ensuring their physical, emotional, and academic needs are met.
- Working closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support for each child’s developmental stage and learning needs.
- Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with ASD is essential.
- Experience supporting children in Early Years or with children functioning at early developmental stages is highly beneficial.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children with special needs to reach their full potential.
- Ability to work as part of a supportive team and follow individual education and care plans.
