Axcis are requiring specialist teaching assistants to join an alternative provision in Yeovil. The school is brand new, opened in September 2024. The school is designed to support students with social, emotional and mental health needs and speech, language and communication needs. Pupils are aged between 5 – 16 years old and benefit from a holistic learning approach. Learners are supported by teaching assistants to gain life skills, to prepare for work, complete qualifications and to take part in their local community. The school hours are 8:30am to 15:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only). You will be working closely with the students to help them thrive. Experience working with vulnerable people is desirable or having previously worked with trauma or mental health. This role is full-time and long-term basis for successful teaching assistants.
